Ugh. I'm so sorry.

Thanks. It was really awful. Still is. I can't get it out of my head.

Ach, I'm so sorry Charlie. I've been in similar shoes as the ones you wore. As I commented in KDD's LJ, this is certainly my least favorite aspect of life.

Thanks so much for writing. I miss you. It was pretty gruesome and I wasn't expecting it, really, which made it worse. I mean, I sensed something was amiss, but figured I was just being paranoid.

Sure! You're welcome. I set out to make a point of being a regular writer on LJ, but it's not been so. Numerous invites to join facebook have come of late, yet for what? To be the lurk I am on LJ?

Just so much going on. Right now I am taking a break from placing some homemade dollies under an old Sauna that I've brought home from 50 miles away, to be converted into a chicken coop. Thing weighs about as much as car (just an open frame work with an 8x6 footprint and 11.5 feet tall, hip roofed) and I want to tuck it into the pine trees. I'll need to do that by hand if I'm to avoid scarring things up too much.

I've had those moments which make one cringe, and the memory of the moment returns days, weeks and months after the fact. Even years later sometimes unbidden, the memory of that moment I stumbled upon... well, anyway, it's all very fresh for you just now, and yes it does get a bit better but still, your life gets another tint you hadn't counted on. While I hate losing things I love, by and large it'll probably be OK.

That sounds like quite a project! I've always loved your entries in which you discuss something you're working on.

I know it will get better. But the images were definitely of the indelible sort.

I wish it wasn't so. So very sorry.

Thanks. I'm glad I found him and brought him home. It makes it easier for his spirit to stay close.

he was truly alive.

i stopped having cats because i felt bad they were having indoor lives without a choice, and not able to follow their nature.
