Thanks! I was pleased with the result, which gave me a shiver when I saw how it looked.

Nice job! Double exposure?
cbertsch From: cbertsch Date: August 12th, 2009 06:09 pm (UTC) (LINK TO SPECIFIC ENTRY)
Thanks! No, it's a single exposure of thirty seconds. I only stood in front of the camera for a smallish portion of that time, which is why I'm barely there.

I think the state of Maine has censored your self-portrait. I don't see a thing.
cbertsch From: cbertsch Date: August 12th, 2009 06:15 pm (UTC) (LINK TO SPECIFIC ENTRY)
Look again. It's worth seeing, if I do say so, immodestly, myself.

Still nothing. Pout.

Weird. LJ is acting up today, which may be a factor. Click here for the URL for the image itself.

Nope. Still doesn't work. I suspect it is the barely-there internet connection here. Either that, or censored by the state of Maine.

I love it! (back in fast internet land -- boston)

Thanks. How are things in the Midwest?

Okay, I've resisted saying something long enough! You really have a knack for this type of image that I really love. You should experiment and explore more with it. It looks like fun too.

I need a DSLR in the worst way. I want a big enough CCD and low light capabilities good enough to enable the making of very large prints of images like this. I have ideas, but the camera I have now, though I love it, can't quite realize them.

Yes, I'd love some new money too!

HAMLET
O God, I could be bounded in a nut shell and count myself a king of infinite space, were it not that I have bad dreams.

GUILDENSTERN
Which dreams indeed are ambition, for the very substance of the ambitious is merely the shadow of a dream.

HAMLET
A dream itself is but a shadow.

ROSENCRANTZ
Truly, and I hold ambition of so airy and light a quality that it is but a shadow's shadow.

HAMLET
Then are our beggars bodies, and our monarchs and outstretched heroes the beggars' shadows. Shall we to the court? for, by my fay, I cannot reason.

Perfect! Did you see my Facebook share of this entry? If not, you are psychic as well as all the other great things you are.

The reason I asked is that I titled my Facebook import "Beam me up, Hamlet!"

:-)

The phrase "liberty to fall" comes from an early Ben Franklin essay on the subject of liberty.

Facebook may be evil, but it serves some purposes well.

That means a lot, coming from you. Seriously. I am all smiles.

this wants to be a series, methinks.

I have ideas. I'm just not sure that my camera can handle them.

know the feeling. i usually use the camphone and it's really limited. on the verge of attempting an upgrade - still a camphone, but 8mpx, which has to be an improvement.
