Did you wave???

Dude! You were spitting distance from my living room when you snapped this shot! See the ING Direct sign? That's the building my gym is in and my gym is right across the street from my house! What a trip to see my 'hood in your entry. Very cool. Oh and GREAT picture. I will miss that roadway.

Dude... i miss it, it was home when I thought I was a transient. Now I am a transient without a home. I miss driving to work on 99 in the rain in my Saab. :/

They're going to tear it down!

I know it's dangerous, but it's convenient and has great views.

Re: Did you wave???

I thought of you when I saw Safeco! Maybe next time I'll be there longer and can treat you to a beverage or something. . .

:-)

Oh, and I'm glad you liked the photo!

Wow, that's actually one of the prettiest city shots Ive seen. And I loathe cities. It just looks so clean and bright and optimistic.

Thanks! The irony is that the sky only lasted a few minutes like that. The rest of the day was pretty dreary, even for a rain-starved person like myself. Seattle looks good from a lot of angles, actually. And a lot of it is very green.

Oh, figures it's Seattle-- Seattle's one of the few cities I've spent any time in that I liked even tho my entire time was confined to Cap Hill and downtown. I like Portland and pretty much the entire Pacific Northwest, but I think I still have a good decade left in me in Humboldt. :)

I've never been to DC. But I loathe cities on general principle.

They're not designed with human happiness as their guiding principle-- if they're designed at all (I do like the ones that spring up in chaos sometimes, but just to look at) they're usually designed with efficiency in mind or automotive or financial or egoistic or bland cookiecutter committee thoughtlessness, and then you throw in all the people, the millions of people, some 90% of them asleep, like unblemished perky officious zombies, and it becomes a horror movie for me.

I like how little sleepy Loleta, population 800, smells strongly of hay and marijuana all the time. There are more cows than humans in the town. When you go to the one little market, you recognize everyone else there and have a conversation with the employee there, whose name you know, no matter which employee it is. Last night, Chris and I fell asleep to the sound of a very, very horny bull in the pasture next to us.
