They look good. I had some late tomatoes growing in my compost heap, but the frost came and the plant died a few days ago, while the many tomatoes were still small and green. Next year I'm going to have lots of veggies growing out back, and maybe my little orange tree will fruit.

That's an early -- and strong -- frost for Vallejo, no? I don't recall having much frost at all where we lived.

We did have a lemon in the front yard at 617 Napa. And the cherry 100s did well in pots.

I hate tomatoes.

I hate them so much I have an entire speech I give whenever anyone offers me a tomato...

Have you ever seen the inside of a tomato-?

::laughing::

I'm reminded. . .

Never mind.

I love them, as does my daughter. And the inside just looks delicious to me. But I understand how that sort of involuntary response works. I have my own triggers.

Meanwhile, how about those sainted ones?

It's easy to get depressed about the absence of real winter here, if you're someone like me who loves snow. But having tomatoes in the middle of December is one effective palliative!

Nice!

Skylar got that one, but I did manage to sneak a few. I wish we'd had a better crop.

I'm hungry for tomato now.

Maybe there will be one or two ripe when you are here. Usually Skylar gets them all -- we had a poor crop this year, again -- but I snuck a few that were split open from being overripe. Wow!

Lovely! I'm overdue in posting some pics of our chiles, which are insanely fruiting--and ripening--in December also.

It's time for you to be in Tucson. We have many games for which we need you to come over and play with us. Like Wizard of Oz-enhanced Life.
