Making the Leap
Today was Skylar's pre-school graduation party. Naturally, it was Kim who did the organizing. If there were a draft for party planners, she would be a lottery pick. All the parents pitched in towards the nearly $200 the event cost, however, so we can't complain. It's hard to imagine a more delightful right of passage:

You'll note that the picture appears to be taken from within the water. It was. I risked our decidedly non-waterproof camera for the shot.

Mode: blissed out
Muse: Sugar Girl (extra B-side of Just Like Heaven) - The Cure - Join The Dots (Disc 2)

Gosh... Why always the most great and fun end-of-the-schoolyear parties involve a pool?

Creo que la clima en Argentina no es ideal para "pool parties." It's early spring there, right?

Tenís que recordar que el fin de año escolar acá es en diciembre: pleno verano en el hemisferio Sur :)

Ahora... no, definitivamente hace mucho frío en Chile central.

Re: Details

I didn't know that about the school year.

Must have misread your recent entry. I thought you'd made a trip to Argentina. Better get out the dictionary!

Re: Details

Jajajaja, you aren't so wrong after all: The reference to Rio de la Plata was because the sea here was completely brown (just like in the atlantic coast near Buenos Aires and Montevideo)after some days of heavy rain and thunderstorms
. That's unusual because the color is usually green.

And yes. We start in march (fall) and finish in december (summer).

Have a great weekend!

Re: Details

That was it! I knew the river was in Argentina/Uruguay. I just missed the comparison part.
Thanks!

You have a good fin de semana too!
