The heavy rain -- and hail -- of last night have given way to the freshly laundered skies that make Seattle look its very best. I had brunch with two of my favorite people earlier at a hippie-punk greasy spoon that flows into a record store. The newly released Nirvana live recording from the Reading Festival was playing on the PA. It sounded great along with the rain against the window and the many cups of coffee that somehow never prove excessive here. I just drove 99 past the downtown skyline. Now I'm paying a visit to another one of my favorite people. It's great to be here.
