Does Collecting Make You Feel Dirty?
I'm in a strange space today. I keep having to fight back delusions of exclusion. It can't really be true that everyone is doing things behind my back. Or can it?

Mode: whine-nighty
Muse: Etta James, festive

Well I might be, but then I live in another state so almost anything I do could be said to be behind your back.

I'm eating cookies. Still feel excluded? :-)

See what happens when you go to French-Male-Mid-Life-Crisis movies. We should have known better.

I also ate a cookie without telling you. Sorry. You'll be happy to know that I also, more out of spite than anything, decided to exclude tommix from my cookie-eating, thus granting me two bonus "scene points," which were subtracted from his total. Your total remains the same. Gene Shalit's total hovers at zero.

Kim's right: I shouldn't have seen Red Lights today. I was just at Fry's buying a new mop head and had a sudden urge to buy a flask-sized bottle of whiskey!

Thank you all for your ironic words, which helped to calm me down. I still feel paranoid, but the scope of the mania is narrowing.

depends on what kind of whiskey, I suppose. Old Crow? Maybe. Wild Turkey? Oh, yes, please. Seriously, though, chin up, my friend. Even people you haven't seen in years have your back. In the words of Charles Manson as heard on the album Creator by the Lemonheads, "if there's anything I can do for you...let me know".

That was very kind of you, my friend. The feeling is mutual.

I wrote in the letter that got me a culinary internship:

This is not my midlife sports car.

*grin* Hang on, pal.

He-he. I'm still holding out for a Porsche, though. . . :-)
