Quote of the Day - De File
Does Collecting Make You Feel Dirty?
Quote of the Day
This is what my daughter just said to her friends K and T, over for an afternoon of revelry before they move out of our neighborhood:
"His name is Nietzsche. I punch my dad for talking about him."
Clearly, this is an occasion when context proves particularly important for comprehension.

Mode: vinegar and baking soda
Muse: music practice in the front room

Even in context, that's odd. There's a punishment for talking about a doll?

Odd perhaps. But this entry still had me laughing out loud :)

Was I not supposed to? Point is that I love that child of yours, love to hear tell of her.

Your other recent entries have no less engaged but more contemplative. It's not that they've quite stolen what was promised Friday as epistolary impulse, but I'm delayed a bit. Distracted. Something.

My son, when he was about 7-8, used to refer to Deleuze and Guattari as "the potato people", after one very misguided attempt to explain why I was still reading A Thousand Plateaux.
