Dude, I saw Eddie Money at the Maricopa County Fairgrounds as a kid. He might have been opening for Stevie Ray Vaughn, as I can't imagine consciously going Eddie Money. "Waiting so long..."

oh no

my boyfriend would go, even if just as a joke. I REALLY hope he doesnt find out about this. Even if he doesnt go, knowing that eddy money is in town will lead to me having to listen to DAYS of him screaming "Take me home tonight." *shudder*

haha, that song reminds me of an episode of the simpsons from, i think, season five. homer is sitting at work, trying to distract himself from something or other, and starts singing that song along with the radio, i believe. he even "sings" the guitar part. so damn funny.

hahahah, laugh all you want, but we saw Eddie Money with Loverboy and (I *think*) Winger at Desert Diamond a few years ago and, man, it was one of the best rocking shows ever. This is, assuming of course, you at any point ever in your childhood liked Eddie Money and/or Loverboy (both of which I did). Fucking hell, the show was great. But, shows at the casino generally are because the venue is so small and it's this one giant ball of nostalgic bonding. I think the only show that came close to topping the Eddie Money/Loverboy one at the casino was Foreigner (which was a little scary because all the 'front row girls' dancing up in front of the stage were easily in their 50's. Which was no end of good natured hilarious comedy for me because Foreigner was the first concert I ever went to -- when I was 9 -- because my best friends parents took us because they didn't have babysitting. So all I could think was "oh my god, that'd be Jaime's mom if she were here...". :) It was great. Plus, acourse, Foreigner rocked the fuck out.)

Thanks for the heads up. I can almost assure you that Jim and I will be going. :)
