I've noticed in the past you have interesting eyes... at least to me. I find people's facing VERY interesting to look at. Of course, doing it candidly makes me and them less nervous about it. I'm really fascinated by how all the parts of a person's face fit together to create that face. You know, there are so many variations of eyes, noses, mouths, ears, hair and then the angles and placement on the head. That sounds kind of like I'm talking about a Mr. Potatohead but, it's just the nature of the human being, simple and complex as we are.

I know what you mean. And why not Mr. Potatohead? :-) I remember when I was in an art summer camp before my last year of high school I had to do a self-portrait in charcoal. Getting the eyes down was crucial. People always refer to them as "almond eyes," whatever that means. But I just remember trying to get the slant right.

I was inspired to do that four-image rectangle by some of your 2006 experiments, BTW, along with chrisglass, who has combined photos in interesting ways and bitterlawngnome, who is an inspiration for portrait photography period. It's great being able to see real artists' work for free like this!
