Does Collecting Make You Feel Dirty?
I'm about to meet benlinus to watch the Suns game. Before I do, though, I want to share an observation I made during the first game. Phoenix made relatively few bounce passes. And thrived. But I don't think that approach would work against the Spurs or the Pistons.

San Antonio and Detroit are notoriously good at forcing their preferred tempos, but from what I read about game 2 of the Mavericks/Spurs series, Dallas was able to take the Spurs out of their game and force them to run. I haven't caught any games but everything I've read seems to indicate that this is the beginning of the end for the Duncan-led Spurs. Whether this is media hyping it up or a legitimate assessment of their status, I cannot say. They actually won *more* games during this regular season than last year's, but still everyone says they are on the way out.

I don't think Phoenix would have a chance against Detroit even if they did manage to get that far. If they had Amare, however... wow. Big difference.

I still hate the Suns tho, and always will. When I think of the Suns I still think of Kevin Johnson and Tom Chambers and Dan Majerle, and I hated those players with every fiber of my being. Even though their players and style are quite likeable now, I still find myself wishing they would lose (except against the Lakers, of course.)

Why in the world would you hate Kevin Johnson? The Cal Bear in me demands an answer.

I think the Spurs might have one more year in them. Detroit is my pick, though.

i hated kevin johnson because he just seemed like a douchebag to me, and everyone in my class (i was like 10 years old, remember) loved him. besides, he seemed to actually *like* tom chambers and that was enough -- guilt by association.

i really just hated the suns tho, period.

remember don maclean from the ucla teams? goddamn i hated him. maybe even more than christian laettner.

Hating Don McClean I can totally understand. But KJ was a pretty good guy. I knew his best friend from his undergrad days at Cal, a man who later became the university liaison for male athletes. And he was a prince, not to mention a stalwart defender of KJ. Go Bears!
