or maybe Wavy Gravy. Less chunky and more smoooth, though. All kidding aside, the happiness evident in these pictures is infectious...

Chin spinach! Funny how I remember you using that term a lot around Mark B. Maybe you were trying to, um, save two birds with one net, since his efforts to grow a beard were even more pathetic than my own. . . :-)

I love the way those old photobooth B+W shots look. It's a shame they no longer exist. And Bean's expressions are super.

Yes, to all and, especially Ms. Bean. SO cute! :-))

Isn't she? And skeptical of the proceedings. It's a trip to look at what she was like then and then realize that she's snapping photos herself now. Wow.

Thanks. I look at them and think, "No wonder tough "urban" types used to cross the street when they saw me coming." There's nothing scarier than a crazy white dude.

These photobooth photos are FANTASTIC! I wish these booths were still around...

WAIT--I saw one in a run-down mall in KY once...must revisit to see if it's still there!

I know. Those new digital ones just don't cut it. As it was, the one we used back in 1999 was already a throwback, since it wasn't a color machine.

I'm in love with the idea of those photobooths. I think I've only been in a photobooth once or twice. Always out of order or else I'm alone or--I don't know. But it's the amazing poof of flash that I covet and the sense of some deep burn of mechanical reproduction going down in a space way back deeper than depth of the booth would allow.

I'm obsessed with the idea of those red London phone booths as well. I have a picture of myself somewhere trapped inside a knockoff at some ritsy outdoor Phoneix mall. For the irony, of course.

"For the irony, of course." Of course! I bet there's an old-school photobooth somewhere near UCLA. L.A. folks are into that sort of retro thing. Or so I'm told. . .
