This morning I watched an interview that Conan O'Brien conducted back in 2004 with Daniel Radcliffe, who plays the title character in the Harry Potter films. At one point, Radcliffe confesses to having a crush on Tim Armstrong's ex. The Distillers weren't really my cup of tea, but I find Radcliffe's praise for the look of one who hasn't slept in days encouraging, particularly coming from one so young. By coincidence -- or perhaps not -- I then made my morning rounds to the Pitchfork site, where I learned that Radcliffe, on his most recent visit to O'Brien's show, made a point of paying a fan's visit to Art Brut's dressing room. As any Maria Callas fan can tell you, the sound of not having slept for days is even sexier than the look of not having slept for days, which makes Eddie Argos an even better crush for not-so-young Danny than the so-2004 Brody Dalle. Radcliffe seems to be on the right track, in other words, even if he has become a little too free with his sheath.
