Does Collecting Make You Feel Dirty?
A Prayer For Reign
Normally I'd want Barry to both tie and break the record at home. But it sure would be sweet for him to make Bud Selig squirm by reaching a milestone in Milwaukee. Indeed, it would almost make up for the dismal year the Giants are having.

I pay an awful lot of money for my season tickets ... he damn well better not break the record anywhere but China Basin.

How about if he just ties it in Milwaukee? You have to admit it would make for great theater.

I know I sound snooty, but only a fan who isn't living here would think it to be a good thing. I can live with him tying it on the road, but I'd rather he didn't. For fans like yourself, rooting for Barry, I accept that it would indeed be great theater to have him do something in Milwaukee. For the 40,000 of us who have come out and cheered him on 81 times a year, there is only one place for the record to be broken. Honestly, the rest of the country doesn't deserve great theater. If they want theater, they can watch all of us commie homo drug addicts on their teevees as we cheer and cheer and cheer for the person who represents everything they find reprehensible.

Here's an example of what one person wrote to me this afternoon:

"All 40,000 of you are just as much jerkoffs for rooting for him.
If a terrorist ever struck a stadium, that would be the place to hit,
they would be doing the rest of us normal people a favor."

Barry apparently agrees!
