Coalition of the Unwilling

Today, in an article on how the UK and Ireland have been given a reprieve by the European Commission permitting them to retain a few Imperial measures, such as the mile and the pint, you can learn everything you need to know about the United States's relationship to the rest of the world:
According to the U.S. Metric Association, only the United States, Liberia and Myanmar have not officially adopted the metric system.
While it may not be possible for us to spread democracy around the globe as we once imagined, I'm still holding out hope that we can win a few more allies in our battle against the freedom-flattening decimal ratio. Iraq is an obvious choice for a place to begin a "reverse domino effect" campaign. But I also have a sneaking suspicion that, for the right amount of plutonium or maybe just pork, North Korea might come on board as well.
