Well, I played a lot of basketball today. My knee continues to improve. I can run like a hobbled deer, which means I'm back to running the way I did before I started running like a hobbled porcupine. That's the good news. The bad news is that running like a hobbled deer is about as helpful for putting the ball through the hoop as a bicycle is for a mermaid. I keep finding new ways to miss. Maybe it's just a question of practicing more, now that I'm not afraid to plant my feet anymore. For now, though, I'm discouraged. And my legs are kind of sore, too.
