Does Collecting Make You Feel Dirty?
Hot Chocolate
Last night I made Skylar and myself hot chocolate using Hershey's unsweetened cocoa and the recipe on the box it came in. Because I intended to steam milk with the espresso maker -- we've all become big fans of the foam -- and mix a little more of the condensed milk remaining from Thanksgiving pie-making in with the 1% I usually use, I only used half the sugar the recipe suggested. It came out perfect. I'd forgotten how tasty something that simple can be. High-end drinking chocolate is all well and good, but the traditional Hershey's kind is hard to top.

That's true. It's still a source of sadness for me, though, that I never got to go to Hershey Park like almost all my classmates did. Roller coasters and chocolate are a great combination.

I've been enjoying your regular updates on what you've done and what you still have to do, BTW. They're a real inspiration to me, because I need to work harder thinking in terms of that sort of time management.

Wish me luck,

Sigh. I wish I'd done that.

I also wish I'd had a chance to read her work. I want to start studying "kitchen sink" texts in relation to "angry young man" texts.

We have been doing that in class this semester. I posed the question that the characters in Taste of Honey see to have something to be angry about. Alan Sillitoe's _Saturday Night and Sunday Morning_ is the interaction of those genres for sure. I just finished watching the film and really see the influence of Tony Richardson in the changes to the script. Queerness and this time in Great Britain seems like it is going to be my disseration. I am sorry for the ramble but my thoughts are flying all over the place.

Re: actually

Right! I love whipped cream. But sweetened espresso maker foam is pretty awesome too.

In other news, I think you should create a Live Journal account just for commenting here. It takes five minutes. And then I wouldn't have to feel bad for not unscreening them promptly!

I don't feel that I am either a "journalist" or "live."

No, I know, I should do a lot of things. Like return my phone calls rather than reading gawker.com on the internet.

You've held out this long. But it does make things easier if a commenter is willing to be identified.
