One Week Only

I'm going to write about the Julien Temple picture Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten after I see it. If you're someone living here within reach of Tucson who is interested A) in the film's subject or B) what I'll have to say about the picture, you should know that it's playing for one week only, starting tonight, at The Loft:

Since this will most likely be the only film I ever get to participate in the making of, however tangentially, I am excited to find out how it turned out, despite the fact that people whose opinions I respect, both friends and critics, were not pleased with it. The notices have definitely been mixed, though there have been many positive reviews to go with the negative. And I'm inclined to think that, as someone who gets Temple's Sex Pistols documentaries, I'll find a way to redeem it, at least partially, from whatever missteps I perceive in its construction. I'm sure to try, at any rate. Oh, and if you're interested in coordinating a possible meet-up at the film, drop me a line.
