Doctor Robert or Doctor Phil? You Decide!
Doctor Phil went to visit Britney Spears in the psych ward, a day after she had been forcibly taken there because she refused to allow her ex's minions to take her children away. An anonymous source told reporters that Britney had been, "drinking and popping prescription meds before her breakdown."

Clearly disturbed by the person he confronted during his hourlong chat, the world's leading media therapist informed Entertainment Tonight that he is, "convinced more than ever that she is in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention."

The well-meaning healer has apparently been trying to "stage an intervention" for the pop star for months. Tomorrow he will be, "filming a special tomorrow about Spears' spiral into a personal hell." While this program is bound to be helpful no matter what, "if he can get her to appear on the show, tentatively scheduled to air two days later, he could score big in the ratings."

Dr. Phil . . . when I used to work as a secretary at the Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology many students wanted to be him with a one hour quick answer. He has a team of psychs working for him. Imagine having a team of researchers, writers, and teachers working for you (or me) and the only responsibility is being a figure head. No thanks. I like the messy parts of humanity. I sound like the YouTube kid on the sheet, but I wish people would leave her alone. I just had a thought: imagine what this processed media world would have done to superstars like Jimmy Hendrix, Jim Morrison, and Janis Joplin (NOT COMPARING THEM TO SPEARS AT ALL). I am tired of the mixture of consumer cannabalism and spin product that is TV. I wouldn't want to be in the media because by the time they are finished with their knives, forks, and spoons there would be nothing left.

Sorry for the long response. (I am nervous because I am teaching two classes tomorrow)

Apologizies tendered.

I'm with you. And this hardly constitutes a long response!

Here's hoping your classes went well.

APA Code of Ethics

He's probably in violation of at least a couple section of the APA Code of Ethics. But patient privacy is so old-school...

Re: APA Code of Ethics

Excellent point!

(And good to hear from you.)

Did I say that I like your new content focus? The politics, the sports, the crass commercialism. You're kind of like a new, improved Pat O'Brien leaving cell phone messages about cocaine and prostitutes.

Wait. You actually listen to my messages? Why don't you ever call me back?

I don't call back because I've already stocked up on cocaine and prostitutes for the evening. Thanks though.

I feel physically ill.

I guess I need to go read up on perezhilton.com.
