Thanks! I feel liberated by my decision to allow myself the luxury of fucking around in Photoshop sometimes. Black-and-white, especially with the contrast upped, has long been appealing to me. But the odds of me using actual 35mm film these days are not good.

I like the ambiguity in this photo. It looks like it could have been taken about 40 or 50 years ago at least--until I noticed the don't walk sign and the post office logo on the mailbox, which are both, clearly, of a more recent vintage

Good point. I imagine that those are the only details that have changed in the interim, with the possible exception of the windows. They've had some big tornadoes and strong thunderstorms in Louisville since the 1950s.
