I've been saying the same thing about your sterling cat husbandry. Or is that cat wifery?

Thanks for the compliment. It complements my need for positive vibes in a most able fashion.

If only I could spell their name. . .

Thanks for dropping by!

I can't do more than echo the sentiment above. WOW.

I mean, I thought I loved the bougainvillea outside my first LA apartment for dropping its dry leaves so they could swirl through the balcony door and leave gorgeous trails of redviolet all over my hardwood floors. But now I realize I was gypped. I could have had the whole bleeding RAINBOW swirling across my floor!

Wow. This photograph is absolutely breathtaking.

The light was right. I'm not the biggest fan of the yellowish ones, but they sure look good when overlapping with the red and purple sort against a bright blue sky.

I've been meaning to call, BTW. I always want to when I'm in California, even if I'm not going to be within striking distance. Maybe I'll do so, though my leg has hobbled my communicative action.

Are those real? Where are you? Why are you always somewhere?

Yes. Encinitas, California. I am always "somewhere," as you put it, because I am trapped in a Western paradigm that privileges the individual instance and precise mapping over recognition of the cyclical nature of existence on this planet.

Yeah man. You ask an aborigine "where are you?" and they look at you like... I can't even describe how they look at you without using their word for it. That's how down with aborigines I am and how NOT a product of wealth I am. I mean, I don't even think of it that way... It's a thing, you wouldn't understand.

By the way, I am about to finish killing the Bougainvillea in our back yard because man! That thing grows like a weed, and pulled apart the old pipes and provided a cockroach and mouse runway into our kitchen. Accursed Bougainvillea!
