I really have lost all patience for Hillary Clinton's supporters, who make the term "sore loser" seem like an encomium:
Clinton's camp insisted Obama shouldn't get any pledged delegates in Michigan since he chose not to put his name on the ballot, and she should get 73 pledged delegates with 55 uncommitted. Obama's team insisted the only fair solution was to split the pledged delegates in half between the two campaigns, with 64 each.
Remember how no one was supposed to be on the Michigan ballot, folks? How Hillary's name was left on, but the pledge to not campaign remained? Seriously, these people should find a time machine to take them back to the Eastern Bloc, where they would have great success as historians.

Check out these Clinton protesters today:

http://blogs.tnr.com/tnr/blogs/the_stump/archive/2008/05/31/scenes-from-today-s-rbc-hillary-protest.aspx

"Hillary supporter with two poodles shouts, "Howard Dean is a leftist freak!"; in which a man exhibits a sign that reads "At least slaves were counted as 3/5ths a Citizen" and shows Dean whipping handcuffed people; and in which Larry Sinclair, the Minnesota man who took to YouTube to allege that Barack Obama had oral sex with him in the back of a limousine in 1999, is one of the belles of the ball.

"They almost made me cry this morning when they told me to get out of there," the blond Sinclair--who's looking roly-poly and giddy in a blue-and-white striped shirt with a pack of Marlboros protruding from the breast pocket--says, referring to several nervous protest organizers who tried to evict him when he first showed up at the rally site early this morning carrying a box of "Obama's DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS: Murder, Drugs, Gay Sex" fliers. Since then, though, he goes on, "I have been totally surprised by the reception I have received!"
"Would you rather have a president who had an affair [Bill Clinton] or one who was a murderer [Obama]?" Jeannie, the Greensboro Democrat, asks a fellow in a floppy Tilley hat and Hillary buttons. "That's a good point," he replies."

Haven't all our Presidents been murderers? Seriously, it all makes me sick.

I wouldn't be surprised. I think I like Bill better, frankly. Actually, I never liked Hillary much to begin with. Something fake about her. I met her and Al Gore, briefly, after seeing them both hold forth at a small campus event at UC Berkeley back in the 1990s. The latter impressed me far more.

I guess the part that unnerves me the most is that Clinton's main battle cry seems to be that she is more electable (Hey, I've won all those swing states) than Obama, despite trailing him in every measurable margin.
To me, it implies that Clinton wishes to subvert the majority of delegates and voters who cast their thoughts at the polls, in a sense rejecting the very principles of democracy she claims to uphold. And they call Obama an elitist.

Right. And either Hillary herself or some of her closest handlers are not above invoking specters that really shouldn't have been invoked after Willie Horton, particularly by the Democrats.

In other news, it's great to hear from you!
