Does Collecting Make You Feel Dirty?
The Featured Show
I am feeling dreadful right now. The heat and the weeks of medication seem to have caught up with both my stomach and spirit. But I was still cheered enormously by the way that former Cal star Leon Powe played for the Celtics tonight. And he picked the perfect night to slip into the limelight, since ABC ran a feature on his tortuous road to the NBA at halftime:
Those of you who have been reading me for a long time may remember -- and I'm thinking of you tommix, despite your brutal attack on my sports entries -- that I've written about Powe's story here before. I think it's super that it's finally getting play outside the Bay Area. I'm so pleased, in fact, that I'm able to repress the realization that I'm actually rooting for Celtics against the Lakers, a circumstance that my Magic Johnson-loving childhood self would never have imagined coming to pass.

Check out all the attention Barack and Michelle's fist punch has been receiving:

My favorite is this: “Michelle is not as ‘refined’ as Obama at hiding her TRUE feelings about America—etc. Her ‘Hezbollah’ style fist-jabbing ...”—Human Events

And FOX News called it a "terrorist fist-jab." I love being a terrorist when I play basketball, just to tie it all back into to your original post.
