A Good Week For the Bears, Past and Present
I didn't get to watch tonight's Celtics-Cavaliers game, but was heartened to see that former Cal star and all-around great story Leon Powe rose to the occasion. With Kevin Garnett sidelined and Glen Davis ejected for a flagrant foul, he had 20 points and 11 rebounds to help secure a crucial victory. I've said it before and I'll say it again: "Go Bears!" But just don't go down the path Marshawn Lynch has been following lately. . .

just shocking - i say it again - shocking - that anyone as elegant & smooth as Big Baby could ever get ejected from a game.

Powe is terrific, at least if the alternative is putting that gigantic mound of pudding out on the court.

i watched my Seminoles beat VA Tech today. this guy Alabi could become a thing, plus we have Toney Douglas. i expect Nole noises in the dance. well, hope for.

I've been roooting for FSU this season for selfish reasons. They beat Cal in a close game -- the Seminoles had a big lead, but the Bears made a comeback -- one of only two non-conference losses we had. The other was to Missouri, which I've also been rooting for. The better the teams you lose against end up being or seeming, the better for your own chances in the tourney. That said, I think FSU is really good. They could beat anyone, if their shots fall.
